Finally, I found a minute to update. You'll see sooner or later I will get around to update regularly like I used to back in the days when my journal was fresh and young.
So, what has happened since my last update. Let's have a look:
1. New pets:
My hubby and I got two new cats. That makes a total amount of four catswe're serving living with us. We got them from a society that rescues cats from a kill shelter in Spain. This was the first time we've adopted pets from abroad, and it was a great experience. We actually drove to Berlin (which is a nearly 3 hours ride) to pick them up at the airport. That happened on November, 13th. Yes, it was a Friday, and one of the cats was black as coal. Luck is still on our side, though.
2. Finished X-Files rewatch
Yes, we're done. 202 episodes successfully watched. Despite its age it was still thrilling and enjoyable. Interesting to see how much cell phones have progressed from the early nineties on. :D Thanks to the rewatch my list of ships grew. Welcome to the following pairings: Mulder/Krycek (can you blame me after that kiss?), Mulder/Scully, Doggett/Mulder, Doggett/Skinner, Skinner/Mulder, Scully/Mulder, Doggett/Reyes – well, let's just say I slash nearly everyone on the X-Files.
3. Rediscovered the Star Wars fandom
Oh, yes. I'm mad about it. The other day (and I don't know whether it's because the new Star Wars movie is right around the corner) I craved some good Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan fics. So I went to my Star Wars folder and had a good look around. Back in 2005 when I first discovered this ship I only read like 20 fics. Then I got sidetracked by the Harry Potter and Gundam Wing fandom. For ten years I've never looked back on Star Wars. How could I?
How could I possibly forget about this scene from The Phantom Menace? This is Qui-Gon's heart-wrenching dying scene.

So if you happen to know any good Qui/Obi fanfics, PLEASE rec away. I'm quite desperate.
Last but not least, two songs I love at the moment:
# Neil Diamond – "If You Go Away"
# M83 – Wait

Rediscovering older fic or tv shows is the best. It's good to hear that the X-Files holds up. It is amazing how much technology has changed in such a short time.

I agree. I love watching old tv shows, and feeling the squee bubbling out of me again. :)

It sure is, right? I'm only 30, but I still remember cassetts, video tapes, and life without color TV (teh shock!), cell phone (even more shocking) and internet (there are no words). :D
